If you've been curious about getting into modding but you don't fancy yourself all that handy with programming, design or file manipulation, it really doesn't hurt to check out the tutorials and take a gander at the step-by-step process for opening, extracting, editing and replacing assets in a game. By this time next year we'll likely see complete model swaps and character replacements.
While the Skyhold pajamas are the biggest achievement for Dragon Age: Inquisition at the moment, I'm pretty sure we'll see a lot of advancements made on the modding front in the coming months. It also gives gamers a small taste of what it would be like if Iron Man actually had a good game for once. I mean, the Hulk versus Iron Man mod is just mind-blowing. There's also the very robust and creative modding community that completely overhauled games like Grand Theft Auto IV.
I doubt we'll see the same level of modding depth in Dragon Age: Inquisition that we've seen from games like Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, which has just taken on a life all its own. It's impressive that modders are already hard at work on the game and moving quite quickly in setting up the necessary tools for others to dive in and start modifying, creating and editing to their heart's content.
